Lightweight, technical, agileThe Ortles Light Mid Powertex is a mid-cut, technical alpine mountaineering boot designed for women with the mountain skills to move fast in all conditions – including at higher altitudes in snow, ice and mixed terrain.Its lightweight, technical construction covers a wide range of conditions, terrains and activities from athletic, rocky trails to demanding routes on snow and ice, such as in the high Dolomites. To ensure grip and traction in varied terrain the Pomoca Alpine Light outsole has a rugged tread pattern, while its cushioning EVA midsole provides additional comfort on longer days. The Ankle Protector System wraps the foot, providing enhanced stability and protection from rock and scree.Salewa's new Edging Plate 2 technology combines a TPU internal shank for a perfect balance between flexibility and stiffness while climbing, and a heel stabilizer with crampon compatibility for increased stability on edging trails. Our proprietary 3F system provides greater support at the heel during the activity, while the MFF+ allows a customizable fit, for perfect comfort. The tough nylon upper fabric is reinforced with high-tenacity, abrasion-resistant, protective TPU stitching and film and with internal rubber protection, the overall material weight and thickness has been kept as low as possible, and the elastic gaiter protects your feet from debris and mud.Thanks to its PFC-free Powertex waterproof membrane, it’s also the first-ever mountaineering boot to bear the Salewa Committed icon and meet our self-imposed strict criteria for additional sustainability and environmentally-friendly products.
